How about a small Full HD 2-in-1 laptop, is that what you’d like to get? Dell i5368-6452GRY is this kind of a “pocket rocket” – a compact unit that functions as a laptop and tablet, and inside you will find powerful components as well. It sounds very decent to say the least, but are there any weak points you might want to know about…?

Dell i5368-6452GRY contains a snappy processor and RAM. The former is Intel Core i5-6200U, a 6th generation low voltage workhorse of two cores, 2.3GHz clock speed and 2.8GH turbo boost. Together with the 8GB DDR4 memory (can be upgraded to 16GB) you’ll find that day-to-day applications run without problems. You can even try heavier software such as image editors, I’m sure they work fine as well.

The laptop has a beautiful screen! At 13.3 inches the 1920×1080 (Full HD) resolution will give you a crystal-clear image. Operating angle on the screen is 360 degrees, hence you can go from laptop to tablet mode in the blink of an eye. You can also shoot some videos with this machine, there’s a 720p webcam embedded on top.

It would be a great idea to include a solid-state drive in a convertible model but unfortunately all this notebook has is a conventional, spinning hard drive. The bright side is, it’s huge in storage size (1TB), but indeed slow when it comes to performance (5400RPM spindle speed). Luckily a person with skills can always remove it and put SSD in place!

Dell i5368-6452GRY is not too gaming-friendly laptop. The inside doesn’t have a dedicated graphics card, only the Intel HD 520 that’s integrated on the processor. What this means is, that with newer games you have to be careful with settings. For example, GTA 5 will give ~30 FPS if you play on low-medium and 720p resolution. However, if you only dig older games the situation is better, you’ll find titles such as CS: Go and World of Warcraft running smooth.

What other things to keep in mind?

Dell i5368-6452GRY being quite a new model there’s no information about the battery life of this 4-cell 56Whr unit. But considering the components have quite low energy consumption you could expect 6-7 hours operating time here.

You are able to hook up your favorite peripherals, the laptop includes one USB 2.0 and two USB 3.0 ports and HDMI-out for a monitor. You can reach Internet with the wireless adapter (802.11ac standard and Bluetooth 4.0).

Because the unit is small there is no DVD burner but SD card reader is available.

This model does not come with a backlit keyboard.

For the price Dell i5368-6452GRY is pretty adept laptop. It’s surely not the cheapest notebook out there, but it also offers you a lot in return: two in one functionality, Full HD screen and snappy performance. The only thing missing is a solid-state drive – if one was included, this computer would fly! But it’s good as it is, if you’re interested in a premium convertible model do check this Dell out!
