A gaming desktop assembled for you, sounds good? Well, CybertronPC Palladium 970Z is such a computer offering Core i7 level performance, and more importantly a true gaming card: the GeForce GTX 970. With this kind of setup you should be able to run any game all day, but is there anything bad about this computer…?
How good for gaming?
It is indeed the GeForce GTX 970 graphics card you will find here; 4GB GDDR5 memory is included. This engine is one of the better cards for a desktop, as far as I know any current game runs on Full HD and 1080p resolution. Grand Theft Auto 5 for example will give you around 40 frames per second even on ultra settings and 1920×1080.
CybertronPC Palladium 970Z is snappy in other regards, too. Processor is Intel Core i7-6700, it includes four cores, 3.4 GHz clock speed and 4.0GHz turbo. Already those numbers should give you hints for what to expect; and this is evident in CPU Mark test that gives the processor around 10,000 points – an incredible score for power users and gamers alike. The memory amount is likewise excellent, there is 16GB DDR4-type memory installed.
Terabyte hard drive is offered for storage. It’s attached to SATA 3 interface and spindle speed is 7200RPM. All your games will surely fit there, although performance itself is not as good as a solid-state drive. But a good thing, there are free 3.5″ and 2.5″ bays inside. This means you’re able to put in extra drives, including SSD without adapters.
What ports and connections are included?
CybertronPC Palladium 970Z has plenty of connections to choose from. There are eight USB ports for you, four are USB 3.0 and four are USB 2.0. Video outputs are plenty thanks to the graphics card: two DVI, one HDMI and one DisplayPort are at your disposal. This means that at least three monitors can be hooked up simultaneously.
Networking adapters include a Gigabit circuit on the board (RJ-45 port) and 802.11ac Wireless adapter if it’s WiFi you want. Bluetooth 4.0 works too.
The desktop also has DVD burner installed.
Miscellaneous things, features and benefits
One thing you should keep in mind, the computer doesn’t include a monitor, only keyboard and mouse.
The power supply is rated at 600W so it is enough even if you’re upgrading the graphics card.
Operating system is Windows 10 Home, the 64-bit edition.
CybertronPC Palladium 970Z surely is a real gaming desktop: it has one of the best gaming graphics card there currently exists, meaning that full eye candy on most, if not all, games will be reality. In addition, if you want to run heavier programs, those will work flawlessly too. To be honest there’s not much wrong with the desktop, but of course you might get better bang for your buck by assembling your own.
