CyberpowerPC Gamer Ultra GUA3400A is all about gaming: it looks like one and has sufficient components inside. And the best thing, the desktop isn’t that pricey… But wait a minute, aren’t gaming computers supposed to be expensive? Can you get a decent one with so low price?

Gaming performance

Suitability for gaming is decent. You’ll find Radeon R7 250 graphics card with 2GB memory installed. It’s going to run games such as Counter-Strike: Go and Day Z without lag, even if you use high settings. Some more demanding games such as GTA 5 will have FPS rather low (~30FPS) if you use high settings, but lower them to make those heavier games more playable.

You can also change the graphics card if you want (just remember SLI is not supported, just one PCI-e x16 slot is inside). For example, people have successfully installed GeForce GTX950 in this computer. You might also need to upgrade the PSU, the current one is rated at 350W.

Other components under the hood

Powerful components are sprinkled in CyberpowerPC Gamer Ultra GUA3400A. There is a six-core AMD FX-6300 processor included, it has a 3.5GHz base frequency and a great 4.1GHz turbo boost available. It’s a player’s and power user’s processor, with CPU Mark giving it around 6300 points in benchmark tests. Also 8GB (2x4GB sticks) memory is installed, and two memory slots on mainboard mean the maximum RAM is 16GB.

Hard drive isn’t that special, a regular (spinning) one terabyte 7200RPM HDD. The good thing is, there are three free 3.5.” slots to add more drives, so you can upgrade to fast (SATA) SSD easily.

Ports and connections

In total, six USB ports are included, one of them is USB 3.0 (in front). The video outputs are HDMI, DVI and VGA – this means that up to three monitors can be hooked up simultaneously.

There is no wireless capability in CyberpowerPC Gamer Ultra GUA3400A, however you can get USB dongle to fix that. And of course, Gigabit Ethernet port is available in the back.

DVD burner is installed in the system, keep in mind it doesn’t work with BluRay.

Any other benefits?

Gaming mouse and keyboard are included, however monitor is not – that you must buy separately.

Windows 10 Home is pre-installed on the hard drive.

CyberpowerPC Gamer Ultra GUA3400A will do its most important task, which is to run games, there is no doubt about that. That said, you will not be able to use high settings on every title and expect top FPS, the graphics card is not the best one available. But decent gaming performance is present. Also, all kinds of software will run without issues here. Just get a good monitor and you have a good budget gaming rig at your disposal!
